The visit took place within the framework of the courses Introduction to Food and Beverage and Guest Services in the Hotel Industry, offering students the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the operation of a modern hospitality establishment. During the visit, students were guided through the hotel’s facilities, with particular focus on the Opposite Restaurant, situated on the 10th floor of the hotel. The restaurant’s menu is curated by the award-winning chef Ektoras Botrini, adding a distinctive gastronomic dimension to the experience.
Throughout the tour, Mr Konstantinos Gratsias, Food & Beverage Manager, and Ms Nikoleta Benetou, Staff Coordinator, shared their professional knowledge and experiences regarding restaurant operations, menu development, cost control, and complaint management. They also engaged openly with students, addressing their questions and encouraging meaningful discussion.
The opportunity to interact with young professionals who communicated in a relatable and approachable manner was received very positively by the students. This exchange created a constructive learning environment and offered valuable insight for those who will soon enter the tourism and hospitality industry as future professionals.
The students were accompanied by Mr Sotirios Manologlou, who supported the educational visit and reinforced the importance of connecting academic learning with real-world practice.
The visit proved to be a highly beneficial experience, underlining Aegean College’s commitment to delivering quality education closely aligned with the needs of the hospitality industry.
