Many professionals in the field of Psychology or other related areas seek to complete a PhD programme in order to enhance their qualifications, enrich their knowledge, develop their research skills and continue their professional development.

The programme is a 3-year, Level 8, programme and includes a doctoral thesis submitted by the end of Year 3 for full-time students and by year 5 for part-time students.

The purpose of this programme is to enable students to become up to date with current progress in the field of Psychology and provide them with skills that will help them in their professional lives as psychologists, leaders in psychology or in their academic career.

It will offer them the knowledge and the practical skills which are necessary when planning and conducting research with clients and/or patients. This knowledge will ensure that candidates are appropriately qualified to conduct active research and produce academic work of the appropriate standards.
