On Wednesday 20 March 2024, Aegean College held a magnificent graduation ceremony at the Athens Concert Hall.
Distinguished guests like Ambassador of the United Kingdom in Athens, Mr. Matthew Lodge, the Vice President of the Piraeus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Dimitris Mathios, the CEO of Arcadia Shipmanagement and Aegean Bulk, Mr. Dimitris Matthaiou and the University of Essex Graduate and CFO Officer at Ocean Shipping Management, Mr. Loukas Spiliotopoulos, delivered welcoming speeches.
The graduates were also congratulated by the President of OMIROS Educational Group, Nikolaos Makryplidis.
The Graduation Ceremony was also attended by representatives of the partner British universities, who, in turn, sent their own message. In particular, Canterbury Christ Church University was represented by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Rama Thirunamachandran, Coventry University by Dr Suzanne Hilton, Head of the School of Health, St.Mary’s University, Twickenham, London, by Dr Kyriaki Myrissa and Dr Mark Cousins and the University of Essex by Deputy Vice Chancellor Lorna Fox O’Mahony and Dr Annecy Lax, Dean of Partnerships (Education).
Hundreds of undergraduate and postgraduate graduates received their degrees from partner UK universities in a unique, moving ceremony for their families and the people of the College.
During the ceremony, Recognition Awards were awarded to professors who have distinguished themselves with their academic work.
