Aegean College participated in the “Higher Education Forum in Transnational Education” forum that was held at Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center on May 10th 2018.
This event was also the meeting place of “Omiros Educational Group” president Nikolaos Makriplidis with Prince Charles. They both took the opportunity to discuss matters of educational interest.
Moreover, it should be stressed that the two men had a talk about issues concerning the development of educational courses and methods that contribute to the growth of the branch of education in the universal economic environment.
The important role that education plays in the Greek economy as well as the potential of the Greek-British collaboration towards this direction was thoroughly discussed.
Undergraduate and Postgraduate curriculum studies in collaboration with British Universities: Coventry University (Top 4% universally, Gold Award in Teaching and Excellence Framework) and Canterbury Christ Church University ( Silver award for teaching excellence).
Mrs. Angela Symeonidis, who is in charge of the Aegean College international collaboration department, addressed the forum and emphasized on the Greek educational system and Aegean College’s great efforts to develop students’ critical thinking and analytical skills.
In addition, she commented on the issue concerning the adaptation of the British educational curriculum to the needs of the Greek labour market. She also underlined the selection of the Greek language as a teaching language, which is achieved through multi-level co-operation between the College and its British partners.
