Aegean College Allied Health offers a bachelors’ programme in Speech and Language Pathology studies in collaboration with the University of Essex.
The course is designed in line with british and greek academic standards and leads to a BSc (Hons) in Clinical Speech and Language Pathology award.
Speech and Language studies with Aegean College combine theory with hands-on practice and research.
It is a multidisciplinary course bringing together different disciplines such as biology, linguistics, psychology and education. Our students bridge the gap between theory and practice in a dynamic academic environment.
Clinical Placement takes place in the AC In-House Clinic or in SLT professional centers.
The syllabus is designed according to the guidelines of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapy and encourages the students’ active participation in the learning procedure, as well as the development of critical thinking and practical skills.
Students can become independent SL therapists able to apply evidence-based practice and to work together with professionals from different backgrounds following the Code of Conduct applied.

- 1000 hours of supervised Clinical Placement from the very first year.
- Opportunity to do the Clinical Placement in well-established centers such as the “Filoktitis” rehab center, “Cloi” Special Needs school, “Monorodi” “ALMA”, the Mediterranean rehab Center, etc.
- Graduates may apply to the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) following the International Route.
- Collaborations with experienced professionals and scientists in the fields of Special Education and Speech and Language Therapy.
- Research is encouraged by the Aegean Research Center (ARC).

BSc(Hons) in Clinical Speech and Language Pathology Graduates acquire a professional licence.
They can work with children with developmental and language difficulties, children suffering from syndromes such as autism or mental disabilities as well as with children with learning difficulties, etc.
They can also offer their services to people with acquired speech disorders, aphasia, neuron-motor disabilities, and with people who require an alternative way of communication. They can also help adults with neuron-diseases such as Alzheimer, speech disorders after accidents etc.
Service can be provided either at home or at designated facilities such as:
